Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Dempsey Arsenault’s post-collegiate lacrosse career has taken flight. Literally. She flies planes now.
On the ground, the most versatile yet overshadowed member of BC’s Big Three is becoming a household name in her own right. Arsenault will suit up for the U.S. against Canada and Maryland in this weekend’s Fall Classic at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.
2. The Brogden Cup, which originated in 1988 as a competition between the top post-collegiate players in the U.S. and Canada, will be rekindled at Fall Classic with an eight-game series (boys and girls) between the USA Select U15 and U17 teams and their Team Ontario counterparts.
3. The Premier Lacrosse League expansion whispers are not going away. The PLL itself made sure that was the case Tuesday with a provocative tweet asking, simply, “Should we expand in 2020?”

4. Wilson Sporting Goods, the iconic sports equipment manufacturer, is entering the lacrosse market via its EvoShield brand and a partnership with the National Lacrosse League.
EvoShield makes custom-molded protective equipment made of gel-like material that hardens to the shape of the athlete’s body. The company will produce wrist/slash guards, chest guards, thumb guards, toe guards, thigh guards and rib protective shirts for NLL players.
