Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. James Madison left its 14-10, five-period loss to Team USA Saturday feeling very confident about its future prospects.
The defending champion Dukes graduated a slew of talent, including Tewaaraton Award finalist Kristen Gaudian, and brought in 10 freshmen this fall. But James Madison acquitted itself quite well against the U.S. team, which now includes Gaudian.
“Coming out and performing the way that we did today is going to let them let last year go a little bit quicker so they can focus on what this team can be,” coach Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe said.
2. Syracuse hosted its annual men’s lacrosse alumni game Saturday, and you can relive the Orange legends that played via a photo gallery.
The white team defeated the blue team, 13-9, behind multiple goals from Sergio Salcido and Mike Iocono.
