Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. A shark’s bite has proven no match for Mike Adler’s fight.
The Saint Joseph’s goalie, attacked by a shark while surfing May 4, 2013, has worked to recover from his injuries and from missing key periods during the recruiting cycle to become one of the best at his position. As a redshirt sophomore, Adler finished third in the nation with a 59.6 save percentage.
But a college career in lacrosse for Adler, a relative late-comer to the sport by the time of the attack, seemed further in doubt when the injuries he sustained left him hospitalized for five days.
2. The November edition of US Lacrosse Magazine is out and it included a holiday gift guide for the lacrosse enthusiast in your family.
There are some deals to be had. A Team USA Nike Heritage Backpack just might be the favorite.
3. US Lacrosse celebrated its First Stick Program, which puts donations of money and equipment to work by outfitting new or developing lacrosse teams or organizations.
