Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The National Lacrosse League pops the cork on the 2019-2020 season in just nine days. Our annual NLL preview started Tuesday with Jack Goods’ projections for each of the three divisions, as well as who will win MVP and other league honors.

2. The New York Riptide, one of two NLL expansion teams debuting this season, acquired veteran Andrew Suitor from the New England Black Wolves, the teams announced Tuesday.

The Riptide traded a conditional fourth-round selection in the 2022 NLL Entry Draft to the Black Wolves for Suitor, a former first-round pick and NLL Transition Player of the Year. “He fits the mold that we are building of a gritty locker room guy who fans on Long Island are going to really like,” head coach and general manager Regy Thorpe said.
