Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. In the words of Quint Kessenich, Tuesday is for the hunter.

Albany (4-1) defeated No. 13 UMass (2-1) 13-12 yesterday at John Fallon Field. The Great Danes were without the services of starters Tehoka Nanticoke and Elijah Gash after a scuffle against Binghamton last Saturday led to eight players receiving suspensions.

Jakob Patterson tallied a hat trick and five assists in the victory. Junior midfielder Chris Ryan scored the game-winner with 1:59 to play in the fourth quarter.

2. Speaking of Albany, the Great Danes’ Steven Ramirez was on the second episode of “Yard Sale” last night. Ramirez talked about Albany’s iconic roster photos. Kessenich, Anish Shroff and Paul Carcaterra discussed Notre Dame’s chances to shake up the ACC and a lot more, including appearances from some four-legged friends.

3. Izzy Scane scored a program-record 10 goals against Rutgers on Friday for Northwestern. She scored six goals and added two assists two days later in a rematch with the Scarlet Knights. She’s the US Lacrosse Division I Women's Player of the Week.

4. Richmond’s Ryan Lanchbury dished out nine assists and scored a hat trick. Those twelve points are a Richmond and SoCon record. Read more on the US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Player of the Week.

5. In the latest “Taylor’s Takes” column, Taylor Cummings breaks down her top players in a week defined upsets.

6. Few stories entering the Premier Lacrosse League Entry Draft on Thursday are more intriguing than Garrett Thul’s. Earlier this year, Thul announced that he’d end his service in the Army in July to pursue a roster spot in the PLL. Matt Hamilton has more on Thul’s mission to rejoin the pro lacrosse ranks.
