Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. US Lacrosse CEO Steve Stenersen with a poignant message during a trying time: "A gift from the Creator centuries ago, the roots of lacrosse run deep, as do the relationships our connection to the sport has enabled. If frustration or fear mount from time to time in the days to come, just grab your stick, and you’ll be reminded of the strength of that lasting connection."

2. Emily Hawryschuk was destined to wear the orange of Syracuse. “She’d be at travel games where all these different college coaches were watching, and she’d have an orange stick and orange socks,” said her father, Nick. “There really wasn’t anything else we could do.”

3. Imagine if the NCAA championships had actually happened this spring. ESPN men’s lacrosse announcer Anish Shroff dreams of that reality in his weekly column and shares a personal note about Memorial Day in his latest column.

Anish was also this week’s guest on the US Lacrosse-produced “Overtime with Paul Carcaterra.”

4. Former Robert Morris player Jack Toombs died on Monday night. He had recently returned to his coach at his high school alma mater, Moeller, in Cincinnati.

5. Temple’s women’s lacrosse program has turned to virtual reality to help train the brain. From the innovations package in our March issue.

6. Jack Goods with analysis from Monday night’s PLL Entry Draft.

7. A look at one high school region and trying to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. The LaJolla (Calif.) girls’ team staged an impromptu Senior Night.

8. Ric Beardsley speaks for so many of us in the lacrosse community.
