1.  At last they played. Heavy snow forced a Top 10 battle between Denver and Georgetown to be delayed until Tuesday, but the Pioneers made it worth the wait for its supporters. Jack Hannah (4g) and Ethan Walker (3g, 2a) led Denver to a 13-7 victory.

2. In women’s lacrosse on Tuesday, Duquesne opened its season with a 22-6 win over Kent State, James Madison raced past George Washington 23-7 and Robert Morris topped Akron 15-4.

3. The ESPN trio of Paul Carcaterra, Quint Kessenich and Anish Shroff hosted the debut episode of “Yard Sale” last evening. You can catch the full show on the US Lacrosse YouTube channel.

4. One year after the pandemic shut down the lacrosse season, Taylor Cummings is celebrating the athletes that play with passion in the latest “Taylor’s Takes” column.

5. Katelyn Mashewske’s dominance on the draw circle helped Syracuse post a pair of victories against Notre Dame last weekend. She’s the US Lacrosse Player of the Week.

6. A career-best 20 saves from freshman goalie Collin Krieg helped North Carolina beat Virginia. He’s the US Lacrosse Player of the Week.

• Sewanee continues to investigate a racial incident from its students during it's men's lacrosse game against Emmanuel last weekend.

• US Lacrosse CEO Steve Stenersen looks back at the virtual US Lacrosse Convention.

• Reuniting with her youth coach at Penn State has helped Taylor Suplee thrive for the Nittany Lions’ women’s lacrosse program.

• A gay slur from a fan at one of her college soccer games helped inspire former McDaniel two-sport athlete Lindsey Farrell to come out publicly as gay. She received tremendous support from her lacrosse team and coaches.

• Former Temple women’s lacrosse captain Rachel Schwaab has turned that love for the outdoors into a career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

• A group of parents are pushing for the NCAA to grant an extra year of eligibility to current college freshmen.

• An NCAA report shows that 89 percent of NCAA Division III men's lacrosse schools are competing this spring and 85 percent of Division III women's teams are playing.
