Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Randy Mearns was officially named the first Division I men’s lacrosse coach at St. Bonaventure on Tuesday by University Director of Athletics Tim Kenney after reports first emerged on Monday.

"Everyone who knows Randy talks about his energy and his vision to move things forward," Kenney said. "He's coming to St. Bonaventure to create something special and with Randy at the helm the sky is the limit for this program. His reputation in the lacrosse world is huge. We're going to build this program from the ground up and into a championship contender."

2. Michigan was reportedly hiring Maryland men's lacrosse associate head coach Kevin Conry as its new head coach, replacing John Paul who was fired May 2, according to College Crosse on Tuesday, but the Baltimore Sun said those reports have been disputed.

"A person familiar with the Wolverines opening said 'no offer [was] made' to Conry and that the former Johns Hopkins defenseman had not 'spoken with anyone in a few days,'" wrote Sun reporter Edward Lee.

3. In the final Nike/US Lacrosse High School Boys’ and Girls Top 25, Needham (Mass.) upset previously-ranked Longmeadow (Mass.) in the Division 1 state championship game to jump in at No. 22 on the girls’ side, and Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.) boys claimed its third straight title to hold its spot at No. 16.

4. The Epoch/US Lacrosse High School Players of the Week are Pat Gillis and Brandon Wuertz on the boys’ side and Sarah Conley and Abby Johnson on the girls’ side.
