Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. After just one shortened season on Nick Myers’ Ohio State coaching staff, Dylan Sheridan is reportedly stepping down as an assistant on the Buckeyes.

Inside Lacrosse reports that Sheridan told the team Monday that he is stepping away to spend more time with his family. His wife, Brianne Tierney, is the head coach of Kent State, and he’d live in Columbus during the week before commuting home on weekends.

In other Division I coaching news, American University has found its next women’s lacrosse head coach. Lindsay Teeters will replace interim coach Maureen Breslin, who spoke to US Lacrosse Magazine in April about the interim nature of her position.

American was off to an 8-0 start before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the season.

2. Continuing the conversation surrounding racial injustice, US Lacrosse Magazine’s Matt Hamilton spoke with Kyle Hartzell and Pat Young of Atlas LC about how to help end racism in lacrosse.

“If you’re around a bunch of white people and something goes down, be the one to step up even if no one is around,” Young said. “Who you are is what you do when no one is around.”

3. Redwoods LC head coach Nat St. Laurent joined Paul Carcaterra for the latest episode of “Overtime,” which dropped Tuesday.

In the wake of George Floyd's death and ensuing protests, St. Laurent was one of the first in the lacrosse community to speak out. Two weeks after that pivotal moment, he talked with Carcaterra about his identity and what this community can do to make sure racism has no place in lacrosse.
