Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. In keeping with the trend of bringing homegrown talent into the fold, the New York Riptide announced the signing of Connor Farrell to a practice player contract. Farrell, who grew up on Long Island in Holtsville, was drafted 24th overall by the Riptide in September after dominating his senior season at LIU Post. Just last week, the Riptide brought in Myles Jones.

2. New logo, who dis?

We’re proud to bring you a sleek new look for Season 3 of Overtime with Paul Carcaterra, US Lacrosse Magazine’s fan-favorite podcast that goes behind the scenes with some of lacrosse’s biggest personalities. Mark your calendars. It’s happening Feb. 18.

3. Unfortunate news for the Maryland women. Lizzie Colson, an IWLCA third-team All-American in 2019, will redshirt the 2020 season after tearing her ACL training with Team USA in June. Learn more here.

4. The Premier Lacrosse League announced its fourth stop in 2020, and it’s a familiar place. Like it did in 2019, the PLL will play at Johns Hopkins’ Homewood Field in Week 4.

5. Our rollout of Top 20 team previews continued with No. 4 squads. The Northwestern women must replace Selena Lasota, but Izzy Scane is waiting in the wings and ready for more. The Maryland men finished the 2019 season with a few letdowns defensively, and the Terps are using that as motivation.
