2. The PLL is coming to Long Island for the first time, and players are all excited to play at Stony Brook. Now comes the question: which of the league’s seven teams will be on the bye that week and deny some Long Island players a homecoming?

3. How often is someone one of the best ever at his craft, and also one its biggest advocates? Greg Gurenlian wants the faceoff to stay and is passionate, and creative, about ways to keep it a part of the game.

4. A loaded offense – like every goal scorer back from 2019 – has No. 9 Penn and head coach Karin Corbett excited about its prospects this season.

5. Denver will look plenty different in 2020, but the Pioneers still check in at No. 9 in the preseason on the back of Tewaaraton candidate Ethan Walker.

After complementing Connor Cannizzaro as a freshman, Ethan Walker enters the year fifth in Denver history in points (194), sixth in goals (127) and tied for ninth in assists (67).

6. Getting lacrosse in front of new potential players is the goal of the PE curriculum developed by US Lacrosse. Over 3,000 grants have been awarded in the last five years.

• Inside Lacrosse released the Face-Off Yearbook 2020 Preseason Division I Men’s All-America squad, voted on by media members.

• Temple senior Julia Ryan, an international business major, took a trip to Thailand as she gets ready to start a job at TD Bank following graduation.

• After a breakout freshman campaign in 2018, Albany’s Tehoka Nanticoke is ready to put a disappointing 2019 season behind him.

• Eastern Michigan University settled a lawsuit brought by two former student-athletes that will allow the school to go forth with its plan to add a varsity women’s lacrosse program.

• Former Georgia club player Michella Chester breaks down ten of the top returning women’s offensive players for the 2020 season on NCAA.com.
