Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The PLL was back dropping news on Tuesday.

The league announced a series of offseason items, including the dates of its Entry Draft and College Draft this spring. Here’s a list of important dates during PLL’s offseason, dropped Tuesday:

  • Feb. 9: Waiver wire and trade window open

  • Feb. 28: Waiver wire closes

  • March 11: PLL Expansion Draft (Cannons LC make 18 picks)

  • March 25: PLL Entry Draft (3 rounds), Cannons LC gets No. 1 pick for each round

  • April 6: PLL College Draft, Atlas LC will get the No. 1 pick

2. The NFHS has eliminated its tiered "Potential Infection Risk by Sport" that classified sports as HIGH, MODERATE, or LOW risk for COVID-19 transmission.

3. ESPN announced the ACC Network's February broadcast schedule, which kicks off with three games this weekend.

In the month of February, ACC Network will feature 16 games — eight men’s and eight women’s, with the rest of the broadcast schedule coming later on.

4. Syracuse women’s lacrosse welcomed back 10 seniors for the 2021 season, adding to a stacked roster that has many believing the Orange could win it all.

Led by Tewaaraton candidate Emily Hawryschuk, Syracuse checks in at No. 4 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Preseason Top 20.

5. Mac O’Keefe, 20 goals away from the NCAA career record for goals, was the first player to give Jeff Tambroni his commitment for the 2021 season.

O’Keefe leads a talented Penn State roster that will navigate life without star Grant Ament. The Nittany Lions sit at No. 4 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Preseason Top 20.

6. Former Siena faceoff man Zach Triner is prepping to take the field in Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup.

Triner, the long snapper for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, spoke with US Lacrosse Magazine about his lacrosse career and excitement for Sunday.
