Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Of note in Tuesday’s NCAA action, No. 19 Michigan women upset No. 7 Denver 12-10 for its second ranked win of the season. The Wolverines were led by Lilly Grass’ four points, hat tricks from Nadine Stewart and Adriana Pendino and goalie Mira Shane’s leadership on defense.
Shane, our Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week, as well as a beat boxer, mental health advocate social justice champion, was featured in the February edition of US Lacrosse Magazine, openly sharing her struggles in a Q&A.
“Help others, but also raise the voice of others that aren’t usually being heard — whether that’s through race and breaking barriers or whether that’s through sports,” Shane said.

4. Loyola women have an “air of confidence” about them after upsetting Florida over the weekend. A repeat effort will be needed when they take on Syracuse in Syracuse today at 4 p.m.
“Syracuse is such a tough side,” Greyhounds coach Jen Adams said. “I think Florida is a great pre-game for that being that they’re so deep in their roster that you have to figure out how to match up on them.”
