1. Goals, goals and more goals.
Boston College opened its 2021 season with an explosive offensive performance en route to a 22-12 victory over Albany. Charlotte North, one of the most dynamic players in college lacrosse, dropped eight goals in the effort, including one off a 50-yard pass from goalie Rachel Hall.

Also notable, Stony Brook got six goals from Taryn Ohlmiller and a hat trick from Ally Kennedy to down No. 14 USC 15-3 on Long Island. Villanova picked up an overtime win over Wagner thanks to a game-winner from Libby McKenna — after Wagner scored twice in the final 22 seconds to force extra time.

2. Mike Robinson barely missed a shot on Tuesday.
Robinson, the Delaware sophomore, scored nine goals on just 12 shots to help the Blue Hens top Saint Joseph’s 16-13 on Tuesday night. Robinson’s total is the most for the program since 1963.

3. Denver’s Molly Little will not be defined by her past.
Little was assaulted and raped by her boyfriend in high school, but she has spent the time since advocating against the trauma she experienced. Now a star in college lacrosse, she’s speaking up and sharing her story.

4. Bestselling author and speaker Jon Gordon joined Paul Carcaterra on Season 4, Ep. 2 of “Overtime.”

5. Speaking of big performances, Alyssa Parrella had a historic day last weekend.
Parrella tallied seven goals in a victory over UConn, breaking the Colonial Athletic Association’s all-time scoring record. The US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Player of the Week now sits at 226 goals for her career.

6. Jake Carraway made sure the college lacrosse world won’t forget his name.
Carraway’s eight-goal outing in a blowout victory over Villanova highlighted the men’s lacrosse weekend. He’s one goal away from tying Georgetown’s career goals record, held by Dan Bucaro.

7. The former New England Black Wolves are headed to Albany.
The NLL confirmed the news that the Black Wolves would be sold to a group headed by former All-American Oliver Marti. The group will relocate the franchise to Albany, where it will play in the Times Union Center.
