Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Tuesdays have become notorious for Top 20 teams getting upset in men’s lacrosse. That didn’t happen last night with No. 3 Maryland beating Colgate 11-6 and No. 14 Army beating Marist 10-4, but there was still some drama.
In Ann Arbor, Drexel, coming off an overtime loss to High Point, beat Michigan 17-16 in double overtime as Cam Harris went coast-to-coast for the game-winner.

Boston University’s sensational sophomore Chris Gray also kept doing Chris Gray things. He had nine points (5g, 4a) for the second straight game, leading the Terriers to a 16-11 win over Sacred Heart. After notching a BU record 71 points as a freshman, he already has 27 points in just four games this season.

2. The latest Overtime with Paul Carcaterra podcast dropped yesterday, and it’s a great one. Lyle Thompson, one of the most dynamic personalities in the game, joined Carc and talked about a wide range of topics, including the incident at the Philadelphia Wings game in January.

3. For the third straight season, Johns Hopkins beat Loyola in women’s lacrosse. Now the Blue Jays enter the Nike/US Lacrosse Top 20 and are getting ready for a big test with Penn coming to Homewood Field. An update on the Blue Jays and more in Jeremy Fallis’ weekly women’s notebook.
4. Phil Goss said he was told during the recruiting process that he wasn’t good enough to play in the Ivy League. All he did was lead the nation in saves per game as a freshman and then earn All-Ivy League honors last year. He’s our “Give & Go” for the month of February.
5. Some of the NLL teams have passed the halfway point, but the championship picture isn’t any clearer. The West has a three-way tie at the top and the East has Buffalo and Toronto locked in a tight battle. Jack Goods’ weekly notebook.
6. US Lacrosse has announced the selection process for the 2020 U.S. Men's U19 team, which will compete for a world title in Ireland.
The time is drawing near for the next crop of the nation’s top players to chase their dreams of suiting up for the United States. US Lacrosse has announced the selection process for the @USAMLAX U19 team that compete in 2020! | https://t.co/jBnCBgaAy1 pic.twitter.com/xWXOEz5SC8
