Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Merrimack’s Charlie Bertrand is well on his way to being one of the best players in program history. He scored 62 goals last season en route to the Warriors' first Division II national title.

As a result, he earns Warrior/US Lacrosse Division II Men’s Preseason Player of Year honors. Bertrand captains a stacked team that could repeat in 2019.

2. Le Moyne’s run to the 2018 Division II women’s national championship was spurred by a strong offensive core, led by Bryanna Fazio. She tallied 105 points last season and returns for her encore act.

She’ll bring Brine/US Lacrosse Division II Women’s Preseason Player of the Year honors with her into the season.

3. US Lacrosse’s Coach Development Program was ahead of its time in 2005, providing first-class instruction to new coaches around the country. Even with the advent of social media and the deluge of video content, US Lacrosse remains the industry leader in coaches’ education.

Editor-in-Chief Matt DaSilva reflects on the importance of the CDP, and we provide you with a visual testimony of the program.

4. Hey, in case you haven’t heard, LaxCon is this weekend in Philadelphia. Come join us!
