1. Fresh off the largest world championship in history, the Federation of International Lacrosse is poised to elevate the sport further with a new strategic plan.

Speaking of big things, be on the lookout for a special announcement from Team USA later today.

2. US Lacrosse Magazine editor Matt DaSilva reflects on the meaning behind Team USA's tour in Israel before the men's world championship began.

3. After more than 20 years of providing information, often available nowhere else, Laxpower has shut down.

4. Princeton already has former coach Bill Tierney bringing his team to campus this year - and now another bit of intrigue with this tweet yesterday.

Coming tomorrow will be the announcement of the 2019 schedule. There will be 14 games, and in addition to Denver, there will be one other team that wasn’t on the 2018 schedule. In fact, Princeton has not played this team in a long time. pic.twitter.com/mOgGAise6J

5. Ryan Brown, who earned all-world honors playing for the U.S. team at this summer's world championship, is the latest big-name player to sign on with Warrior and New Balance.

• Former Stony Brook star Dorrien Van Dyke has been named as an assistant coach at James Madison.

• Former Albany player Katherine Sweeney has joined the staff at Quinnipiac after two seasons at Wagner.

• Former Roanoke player Justin Tuma has joined the men's lacrosse staff at High Point after stints at Princeton and Ohio State.

• After leading Lawrenceville to a 71-13 record in her second stint at the school, successful coach Kris Schulte is stepping down and assistant coach Grace Megaffin will take over.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Champion Merrimack was honored at the Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Tuesday night, and Mike Morgan did not disappoint.
