Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The WPLL left an indelible mark on professional women’s lacrosse.

Even though the league has closed its doors, its brief two-year history left fans of pro women’s lax with plenty of memories. From sellout crowds at Yale for the 2019 semifinals to trips abroad to grow the game in Japan and England, the WPLL helped to shape the landscape of the sport.

2. Tari Kandemiri — aka Official Lax Girl — held another valuable conversation about race.

3. Major League Lacrosse revealed the first three David Huntley Man of the Year nominees.

The award, named after the former MLL coach who died in 2017, is given to a player who has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, professionalism and service to his community.

Isaiah Davis Allen (Chesapeake Bayhawks), Mike Schlosser (Denver Outlaws) and Tommy Palasek (Philadelphia Barrage) were nominated Tuesday. The final three nominees will be revealed later today.
