Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1.  Playing its first game in 45 days due to a COVID-19 pause of activities on the Marist campus, the school’s men’s lacrosse team beat Quinnipiac 14-9 behind five points from Jojo Pirreca and 14 saves from Logan Covey. They also had a sweet highlight goal with Jamison Embury throwing a behind-the-back pass to his brother, Hunter, who finished to give the Red Foxes their first lead of the night.

Earlier in the day, the Marist women returned to the field for the first time since March 12 and fell to Siena 17-11.

2. The ESPN trio Anish, Carc and Quint hosted another episode of Yard Sale on the US Lacrosse YouTube channel last night. Among the topics: the difficulty of naming plays with Maryland assistant coach Bobby Benson, a look at Syracuse’s NCAA chances and the great news out of the Loyola Blakefield program.

3. The delayed, and limited, Ivy League schedules will have us seeing some unusual matchups this season. Penn will travel to Division III power Cabrini in men’s lacrosse on Friday evening while Dartmouth’s men’s team will play teams from Division II and III, hosting Tufts on Sunday and then playing at St. Anselm next Tuesday.

4. Syracuse’s leading goal scorer, Chase Scanlan, has been suspended indefinitely from the school’s men’s lacrosse program.

5. The looming conference tournaments in women’s collegiate lacrosse will be some of the best action we’ve seen all season, writes Taylor Cummings.

6. St. Paul’s (Md.) has entered the top 10 of the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25.

7. McDonogh (Md.) has risen to No. 3 in the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25.
