1. Emily Hawryschuk stands alone in the Syracuse record book.

Hawryschuk surpassed current Syracuse women’s lacrosse coach Kayla Treanor as the leading goal scorer in school history in an 18-11 win over Albany at the Carrier Dome on Tuesday. She scored four goals — giving her 262 for her career — and added two assists in the victory for the No. 3-ranked Orange. Treanor previously held the record with 260.

2. Confirmed: There’s no such thing as an “Overtime” jinx.

On the same day Georgetown men’s lacrosse coach Kevin Warne regaled Paul Carcaterra with stories of his upbringing and insights on the Hoyas’ meteoric rise in recent years, No. 2 Georgetown defeated Loyola 14-7. Dylan Watson scored five goals and Loyola committed 25 turnovers against the Hoyas’ meddlesome defense. Georgetown improved to 11-1 with its first win over the Greyhounds since 2015.

3. This week’s bracket projections should surely stir up some water cooler talk.

As Selection Sunday draws nearer, bracketologists Patrick Stevens and Jeremy Fallis examined the potential NCAA men’s and women’s lacrosse tournament fields.

4. The latest Nike/USA Lacrosse high school rankings were released Tuesday.

Victor (N.Y.) made headlines on the girls’ side with a 20-spot leap to a No. 5 national ranking following its big win over New Canaan (Conn.) On the boys’ side, nearly every ranking after the top five changed.

5. Duke swept USA Lacrosse Magazine’s weekly awards.

Blue Devils goalie Mike Adler earned USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Men’s Player of the Week honors for his 20-save gem against Virginia.

Draw specialist Maddie Jenner, meanwhile, showed she’s anything but when she scored the game-winning goal in Duke’s upset of Boston College. She’s the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Player of the Week.

Both awards were announced Tuesday.

6. Jordan Wolf, an eight-year pro out of Duke and member of the gold medal-winning 2018 U.S. team, announced his retirement Tuesday. Wolf missed most of the last Premier Lacrosse League season with a lower body injury. “I always told myself I would play until I could no longer be effective and produce at a high level,” the Chrome attackman said in a statement released by the PLL. “Unfortunately that point came a little sooner than I planned given my injury.”
