Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Towson men love playing close games.

The Tigers played another one Tuesday night. A seven-goal first half was enough to withstand a strong second-half push from Hofstra as Towson improved to 5-6 (2-3, CAA) with a 10-8 win at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Redshirt-senior attackman Bordy McLean scored four times, and Shane Brennan made 14 saves.

2. A slate of six women’s games saw big scoring from top teams.

No. 3 Syracuse, No. 8 Duke and No. 15 Drexel all won by double-digit goals Wednesday, with Drexel’s 20-8 win over No. 19 Towson representing a key CAA victory. Karson Harris scored seven times in the victory.

3. Jack Kielty is the US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Player of the Week.

The graduate student defenseman for Notre Dame shut down Michael Sowers on Saturday, holding the Duke standout to just one assist in Notre Dame’s 13-8 win that shook the rankings. The defense in its entirety was superb.

4. Aurora Cordingley is the US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Player of the Week.

Cordingley was integral in getting Johns Hopkins back into gear after a layoff of nearly one month. She scored 12 goals with one assist in Hopkins’ 2-0 week that saw the Jays go from unranked to No. 14.

5. Chris Bocklet is on the “Overtime” podcast.

Available now on Apple and Spotify, the latest episode of “Overtime” with Paul Carcaterra features former Chrome LC player Chris Bocklet, who suffered a life-altering head injury in January. He shares his story with Carc.
