1. Dakotah Savitcheff scored two goals in the final 18.2 seconds to help Albany tie and eventually upset No. 8 Cornell 11-10 in women's Division I action on Tuesday night. Savitcheff finished with seven points in Albany's first win over a Top 10 team.
It was a back-and-forth battle early, with neither team holding more than a two-goal lead. Kenzie Neal scored all four of her goals for Albany in the first half, including the final three to give her team a 7-6 lead going into the break.

3. Albany's Connor Fields is filling a role of the Great Danes' next highlight-reel player. Leading the nation in scoring, Fields is amazing his teammates with every showstopping play that he makes.
Albany defensemen hate having to fend Fields off in practice, but marvel at the creativity that he shows on the field. From lighting it up at Bishop St. Timon, north of Buffalo, to working as an understudy to Lyle Thompson, Fields has been groomed to become the player he is today.
4. Week 2 of Bracketology gives us another glimpse at the projected field for May. One notable absence is Virginia, which without an ACC tournament appearance, will not be playing in May. North Carolina is still fighting to get into the tournament field, as well.
Syracuse grabs the top seed for another week, while Denver hosts a game as the No. 2 overall seed. Will the Big Ten reign supreme come May? The RPI certainly makes it seem that way.
5. Chaminade (N.Y.) and Haverford (Pa.) had great weeks to rise in the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Boys Top 25. Chaminade, now No. 5, swept St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) and Ward Melville (N.Y.) last week to give it bragging rights on Long Island. No. 11 Haverford beat both Boys’ Latin (Md.) and Malvern Prep (Pa.) to move up.
For the women’s Top 25, the trio of McDonogh (Md.), Garden City (N.J.) and St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.) stayed on top, while Ridgewood (N.J.) moved to No. 11 and Northport (N.Y.) made its debut.
Here are your players of the week on the boys and girls sides.
