1. The final week of the regular season in Major League Lacrosse sees three teams atop the standings at 9-6 — Boston, Chesapeake and Denver. Chesapeake's Lyle Thomposon is just five points away from tying Rob Pannell's MLL single-season scoring record. Phil Shore with the weekly MLL Notebook.

2. Can Redwoods isolate another opponent’s star on Landis Island for another week? Jack Goods with the weekly PLL Notebook.

3. The expansion New York Riptide have the first pick in tonight’s National Lacrosse League draft from Philadelphia and it will be a busy night for general manager/head coach Regy Thorpe. Thorpe will be across the continent getting the U.S. team ready for the start of the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship on Thursday.

4. Flagler (Fla.) College will start NCAA Division II programs in 2022 and Brian Duncan, who led Essex CC to a national junior college championship in 2004 will be the first head coach of the men’s program at the school.

• A phone call at the airport while waiting to vacation in Greece changed Sydney Pirreca’s plans. Now the former Florida star is set to begin her coaching career at Syracuse.

Kevin Gould is the new offensive coordinator for the men’s lacrosse program at Providence.

Hungary and Puerto Rico have achieved full member status from World Lacrosse.

Nine New York Riptide games on will be carried on MSG networks for the 2019-20 season.
