Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. US Lacrosse released the schedule for the 2019 Team USA Fall Classic yesterday and the 12-team, 16-game event opens with the U.S. and Canada women’s teams meeting for the first time since 2017 when the U.S. swept the World Lacrosse (formerly FIL) championship in England and The World Games in Poland.

2. The Major League Lacrosse playoff field is set, including Atlanta’s first-ever trip to the postseason.

3. Jack Goods checks in with the weekly notebook from the PLL. Three teams remain in the hunt for the inaugural championship. Whipsnakes will meet the winner of this weekend’s Chaos-Redwoods game on Sept. 21 in Philadelphia.

4. With two new teams joining the fray, the 13-team National Lacrosse League announced a new three-division format for the 2019-20 season.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Kyle Buchanan’s goal with 48 seconds remaining gave Peterborough a 9-8 victory over Victoria in the Mann Cup. The Lakers took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series for Canada’s Senior A championship. Game four is tonight.

• Stephen Stamp with his NLL Mock Draft on NLL.com. The draft takes place next week in Philadelphia.

• Nick Acquaviva has joined the men’s lacrosse coaching staff at Cleveland State.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

The World Indoor Lacrosse Championship starts next week and NLL star Joe Resetarits will be one of Team USA’s leaders.
