Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Today’s the day for 2022 recruits. Sept. 1 marks the start of the recruiting process for high school juniors around the country.

Coaches can now contact prospective recruits, but a recruiting dead period is still in action until Sept. 30, barring in-person visits to campus and face-to-face meetings. Here’s more on the recruiting dead period.

The IWLCA offered tips for recruits heading into the Sept. 1 contact date.

Greg Gurenlian and Notre Dame men's and women's lacrosse shared their perspective on a big day for recruits.

2. Jimmy Perkins is headed back to Robert Morris.

Perkins, the former All-NEC attackman who spent two seasons as captain at Utah, returns for his seventh season in college lacrosse after the 2020 season was canceled. He spent four seasons with RMU, two of which he missed due to injury.

Perkins joins Rutgers’ Adam Charalambides as the only seventh-year players in Division I men’s lacrosse.

3. Welcome to World Lacrosse, Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Republic becomes the 67th member nation of World Lacrosse and the fifth in the past year. Check out more on the addition of the fourth Caribbean nation.

4. Pitt opens practice for its final year before becoming a Division I program.

Emily Boissonneault and her program hit the field for a one-hour session in which two groups of six players worked out to kick off the fall season.
