Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Who’s ready for the San Diego Seals? Looks like the NLL might be. This weekend, rumors circled after Marissa Ingemi reported that the name of the San Digeo NLL franchise would be the Seals.

Some dug a bit further, checking out the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and finding that the name San Diego Seals was trademarked by the NLL on Oct. 18.

No word yet from the league, but the team planned to reveal the name in a press conference today, regardless. Once it was announced that San Diego was the next location for an NLL team, it asked fans to choose the team name.

The San Diego franchise came about thanks to former Yale lacrosse player and co-founder of the Alibaba Group, Joseph Tsai.

2. #BestofLax continued Monday with the Best Men’s Performance, a category littered with impressive stat lines. Leading the tallying so far is Denver’s Trevor Baptiste, who won 21 of 22 faceoffs en route to his team’s blowout win over Notre Dame in the NCAA quarterfinals.

Also included was Zach Currier’s 15-for-19 faceoff game, which included 13 ground balls, in Princeton’s domination of Johns Hopkins in March. Navy’s Dave Little made the list after he scored nine goals on nine shots in a March victory over Lehigh.

Topping it off was Maryland goalie Dan Morris, who recovered from a tough first quarter to make 16 saves and help the Terps beat Rutgers in three overtimes.

3. The U.S. national indoor team took on Canada last weekend in the Heritage Cup in Hamilton, Ontario, eventually falling 19-6 but showcaing some of the talent we'll see at the 2019 World Championships. Check out some of the best images from the annual event with our gallery.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

Speaking of the San Diego lacrosse team, president Steve Govett shared how he plans on building the new franchise's roster for the 2018-19 NLL season. How does it parallel with the Las Vegas Golden Knights?
