1. The NLL starts this week and the league is gearing up.
All but one team announced official rosters on Monday, signaling the start of the new season. The Philadelphia Wings, who don't play until Dec. 14, have yet to unveil their roster. Check out the full rosters below.
NLL Rosters
Buffalo | Calgary
Colorado | Georgia
Halifax | New England
New York | Rochester
San Diego | Saskatchewan
Toronto | Vancouver
Among new players to make official rosters: Joe Nardella (New England), Alex Woodall (New York) and Mark Glicini (San Diego).
The league also announced it was “enhancing” its existing broadcast partnership with B/R Live, bringing fans new content including a 10-minute pre-game show, a halftime show and advanced analytics.
2. The Toronto Rock and New England Black Wolves are next in our NLL previews.
The past few years have been steady for the Black Wolves, but they’re looking for greater heights in 2020. With Callum Crawford suiting up, New England has a shot to succeed this season. Add in Andrew Kew and the offense could be a threat.
Toronto welcomes future Hall of Famer Dan Dawson to the fold, which already includes Tom Schreiber. The offense will be strong, and Rock fans hope for another successful season after making the postseason in 2019.
3. Sammy Jo Tracy, the former North Carolina star and current WPLL player, is excited for the opportunity to speak at the US Lacrosse Convention in January. At 25, she's traveled the world helping spread the game that she loves.
