Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. John Danowski and Nick Myers will be back as Team USA head coaches. After Danowski won gold with the U.S. men’s national team at the 2018 FIL World Championship in Netanya, Israel, and Myers did the same with the U19 men’s team in Coquitlam, B.C. in 2016, US Lacrosse was pleased to bring the head coaches back for another cycle.

Danowski will lead the U.S. men’s senior team through the 2022 FIL World Championship in Canada. As for Myers, he will lead the U19 team through the 2020 FIL U19 World Championship in Ireland.

2. The Premier Lacrosse League announced Monday that it will begin a new initiative called PLL Assists, which will “work with established non-profit partners, to engage and impact people in need of support.”

The list of non-profits includes Winners Lacrosse, Owls Lacrosse, Shootout for Soldiers, Charm City Youth Lax, Team RWB, the HEADstrong Foundation and Bronx Lacrosse.

3. Dom Starsia checks in this week with a few stories of how the game he loves has given back to him. From a chance phone call at 11 p.m. eventually changing his daughter’s lives, to a small camp encounter helping his father through bypass surgery, Starsia's connections to the game have benefitted him tremendously.

4. Air Force men’s lacrosse is looking to move forward from the turmoil of the 2018 season. With former assistant Bill Wilson now at the helm, the Falcons have spent this fall forging bonds between the upperclassmen and incoming freshmen.

With a deep roster returning for 2019, can Air Force reverse fortunes quickly?

5. Shootout for Soldiers announced its 2019 summer schedule, which includes visits to all 11 cities from this past summer. In addition, there will be an event over Veterans Day weekend in Jacksonville, Fla.

6. Legendary former Williams lacrosse coach and IMLCA Hall of Fame coach Renzie Lamb died Saturday, the school announced. Lamb led the Williams lacrosse program for 35 years and retired in 2003. He finished his career with a 252-184 record, including a 23-19 mark in the postseason.
