1. The U.S. national teams program turns its attention this week from Columbus, Ohio, to West Palm Beach, Fla.

The U.S. U19 men’s training team rebounded from a 9-7 loss to Culver Academy (Ind.) on Saturday to defeat The Hill Academy (Ontario) 14-6 on Sunday. Check out photos from the exhibitions at Ohio State.

The U.S. senior women’s team now takes center stage. As Team USA prepares for its exhibition Saturday against WPLL Select at Presidents Cup, attacker Kylie Ohlmiller takes her turn on the hot seat for our monthly “Give & Go” series.

2. Born with cerebral palsy, Brock Spayd found his identity on the lacrosse field, where teammates accepted him and provided refuge from the physical limitations and emotional insecurity of his condition.

• How ECD lacrosse enlisted Greg Gurenlian in its effort to develop a faceoff head, the Weapon X, that performs both at the X and on offense.

Looks like Paul Bissonnette, aka Biz Nasty, will get his NLL pro day with the Vancouver Warriors. Publicity stunt? Perhaps. But the former NHL tough guy and social media personality, who triggered lacrosse supporters last week with a tweet stating that he could make an NLL roster as a walk-on without ever having played the sport, might soon eat his words.
