Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The IWLCA Presidents Cup roster is set.

A total of 34 players will compete for the U.S. women’s national team this weekend as it makes its debut in Texas at the at the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Presidents Cup. The roster features a pair of Texas natives in Lindsey McKone and Charlotte North.

The U.S. team is in training for the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship, which will be held from June 29 through July 9 at Towson (Md.) University.

2. A former lacrosse player is make strides on the gridiron.

No, not Jared Bernhardt or Chris Hogan. Tyler Badie, the senior running back at Missouri who leads the SEC in rushing, played midfield back in his high school days at Briarcrest Christian in Tennessee. ESPN analyst Quint Kessenich called attention to the lacrosse connection yesterday.

3. For Drexel teammates Maura Cissel and Grace Harding, along with other noted lacrosse players like JD Colarusso and Brett Dobson, Type 1 diabetes has not deterred them from playing the sport they love.

4. More schedule news, this time out of the ASUN.

Bellarmine released its schedule yesterday. The slate starts on January 29 against Mercer, includes a March 26 date with UNC and concludes with five conference games as the league reboots men’s lacrosse as an official sport. The ASUN last sponsored men’s lacrosse in 2014.

Bellarmine played, and won, the first men’s Division I lacrosse game of the 2021 season  against Mercer. Inactive Knights midfielder Cam Herbert brought the lacrosse community together by live streaming the contest on Periscope from the stands of Five Star Stadium.
