Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Cannons’ new look is here.

Cannons LC, entering its 21st year as a professional team but first as a Premier Lacrosse League club, has an old school feel with its new kit. The red, white and blue still take centerstage, but the new Cannons LC logo and smoky texture at the bottom of the jersey add eye-catching elements to the design.

You can see the new Cannons kit in action when the PLL season opens the first weekend of June.

2. The One Love Foundation announced its Unsung Hero Award winners.

The Yeardley Reynolds Love (YRL) Unsung Hero Award recognizes the accomplishments of six student-athletes who help their teams achieve success in ways that may not be measured in goals, saved or ground balls. Instead, it places value on kindness and generosity and other often undervalued characteristics in college athletics.

This year’s winners are Lila Nazarian (Syracuse), Kyle Anderson (Harvard), Marisa Souchak (Saint Leo), Ben Jackson (Lynn), Amelia Lubrano (Colby) and Thomas Brackett (Christopher Newport).

More here.

3. It’s nearly Championship Weekend.

Chalk advanced through to the NCAA semifinals in both the Division I men’s and women’s brackets, an interesting development considering the caliber of games it took to get to this point.

On the men’s side, North Carolina, Duke, Maryland and Virginia are the teams left standing to chase a national title. Patrick Stevens recapped how we got here.

On the women’s side, a national title will be won by either North Carolina, Northwestern, Syracuse or Boston College. In a season defined by unmatched talent at the top, the four best teams are left standing. Check out a recap of how we got here.
