Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The PLL waited mere hours to kick March off with a bang.
Just after 9 a.m. Eastern on Monday, the league announced that Paul Rabil — the league’s co-founder and Atlas LC midfielder — had been traded to Cannons LC for a collection of draft picks. Rabil was drafted by the Boston Cannons with the first pick in the 2008 MLL College Draft, and he’ll now be the first player in the next era of Cannons lacrosse.

2. Rutgers is climbing up the Top 20 — in both the men’s and women’s rankings.
The men’s team is up to No. 5 in the Nike / US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Top 20 after a convincing win over Ohio State, while the women enter the ranking at No. 18 after a Friday-Sunday weekend sweep of the Buckeyes.
Check out both updates to the rankings below.
3. The first update to the Division II Women’s Top 20 is here, and UIndy is making moves.
The Greyhounds topped then-No. 2 Queens over the weekend, taking over the No. 2 spot in the process. Queens fell to No. 8.
On the men’s side, Wingate held Limestone to just three goals — the Saints’ lowest output since 2006 — earning a spot in the top 10.
4. The Liberty League is back.
Commissioner Tracy King announced Monday evening that the league’s Presidents Council unanimously agreed for the return of athletic competition this spring. League competition will begin no earlier than March 26.
It remains to be seen if the NESCAC and Centennial Conference, two of the other major Division III conferences, will return to the field, too.
5. US Lacrosse Magazine is beefing up its women’s content.
U.S. women’s national team superstar and three-time Tewaaraton Award winner Taylor Cummings will pen a weekly column during the women’s lacrosse season highlight the top individual performances of the weekend that was.
We can’t wait to share her first column later today.
