1.  Yesterday was rankings day and here’s the latest from the Nike/USA Lacrosse NCAA ranks.

• Men’s Division I: The Ivy League claims six spots in the Top 20.

• Women’s Division I: Denver enters the Top 10 after beating Michigan.

• Men’s Division II: Tampa bolsters resume to stay at No. 2

• Women’s Division II: UIndy holds the No. 1 spot after beating LeMoyne.

• Men’s Division III: Cabrini rejoins the Top 20 after beating Cortland

• Women’s Division III: Trinity and Stevenson enter this week’s Top 20

2. One set of rankings that will likely have a different look next week will be the NCAA Division II men’s rankings. Last night, No. 18 Florida Southern stunned No. 1 LeMoyne, 12-10, snapping the Dolphins 23-game winning streak.

3. Carol Cantele, the third-winningest coach in NCAA women’s lacrosse history with over 450 career wins, announced her retirement following Gettysburg’s 2022 season. Cantele has won three national championships with the Bullets, who are currently ranked No. 2.

4. Legendary Johns Hopkins player and coach Dave Pietramala made his return to Homewood Field on Sunday in his new role as Syracuse’s defensive coordinator. Pietramala wanted to keep the focus on the present.

5. The top 10 teams in the first Mid-Atlantic High School Girls regional rankings feature five Maryland schools, including reigning No. 1 St. Paul’s School.

6. North Carolina recruit Marissa White is eagerly looking forward to Agnes Irwin’s season opener on March 22. The midfielder hasn’t played in a high school game since 2019 due to COVID and a torn ACL.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Jack Goods checks in with his weekly notebook covering the action in the National Lacrosse League.

• Kean men’s lacrosse coach Shelley Sheiner made a return to the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame & Museum, albeit in a different location than where he proposed to his now wife, Kelly, 24 years ago.

• Twenty men’s lacrosse players were named as candidates for the Senior Class Award.

• Syracuse men’s lacrosse is out of the Top 20 in the national rankings for just the second time in the last decade.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
