Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. We’re wrapping our high school coverage this week.
On Monday, USA Lacrosse Magazine revealed its 2022 regional players of the year, headlined by the national players of the year. Joey Spallina of Mount Sinai (N.Y.) is the boys’ national player of the year after eclipsing Long Island’s points record. The Syracuse-bound attackman ended his high school career with 507 points.
Carli Fleisher of American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) had 62 goals and 58 assists this past season, her last in high school before heading to Northwestern. She was named to the second wave of 11 girls selected to compete in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game.
