Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The U.S. women’s senior team opens a three-day training camp at US Lacrosse today. Sixteen of the 36 players invited played collegiately in 2019.

“We want to continue to meet, coach and evaluate as many players as possible, all while continuing to develop a core group of players who continue to demonstrate an elite level of skill, creativity and team play,” said head coach Jenny Levy.

2. Longtime NCAA assistant coach Andrew Baxter, most recently the defensive coordinator and associate head coach at Yale, was named as the new head men’s lacrosse coach at Fairfield.

3. Two-time NESCAC Player of the Year Dakota Adamec from Tufts headlined the IWLCA Division III All-America teams.

4. The two-pointer made a huge impact for Chaos in its victory over Atlas on Sunday. Jack Goods has his weekly Premier Lacrosse League notebook.

6. The countdown for 2020 begins with our Division I Women’s “Way Early” Top 25, looking at spots 21 through 25.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• The PLL released its attendance figures for its three games at Red Bull Arena last weekend, totaling 10,777 spectators.

• The Big Lead praises the PLL’s in-game interviews with players on the field and sidelines.

• JMU recruit Olivia Mattis from Lakeville North (Minn.) is the Pioneer Press Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year.

• The close knit Harriton (Pa.) High School girls’ lacrosse team captured the Pennsylvania 3A state title.

• Avry Truex allowed just one goal in leading Derryfield School to its fourth straight New Hampshire Division II championship. Truex, headed to Connecticut College, is one of five players on the squad set to play college lacrosse.
