2. Rookie Sean Sconone out of UMass had a memorable debut to lead Dallas to its first win of the season — a triumph at league-leading Denver. Phil Shore with the MLL Notebook.

3. What’s with the suit? Stony Brook head women’s coach and Team assistant coach Joe Spallina dishes on his life in the Give & Go from the July/August issue of US Lacrosse Magazine.

• I'll never forget Lucy Lynch blowing past the scorer's table during the 2005 World Cup in Annapolis, Md. She used her incredible speed to open doors, becoming the first English player to earn a U.S. college scholarship. Today, she plays in her 100th cap with the English national team.

• Jake Pulver overcame a lot of adversity to excel in his lacrosse career. He now calls the MLL’s Dallas Rattlers’ home.

• Yahoo! Sports with a look at the PLL’s use of social media and gameplay innovations to gain traction.

• World Lacrosse has signed a memorandum of understanding with the PLL to work together in growing the sport.

• Former Towson captain Sarah Willard has joined the women’s lacrosse coaching staff at Butler.

• Marshall Abrams will join the NLL’s New York Riptide as offensive coordinator.
