Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:
1. Liz Hogan writes about her illustrious lacrosse career.
Hogan won a gold medal with the U.S. women’s national team after being cut in the final phases of tryouts twice. She persevered, anchoring the U.S. defense in Towson and helping the team to a gold medal on home soil.
She writes for Inside Lacrosse that she will retire from the game after achieving what she’s long tried to do.
2. Charlotte North and Gait Lacrosse have announced a multi-year partnership.
Another gold medalist with the U.S. women’s national team, North will collab with Gait on custom products, sponsored camps, charity endeavors and more.
3. Syracuse has a new faceoff man.
John Richiusa will transfer from Canisius, he announced on his personal Instagram. As a freshman this past spring, Richiusa won 52 percent of his draws — fourth among freshmen nationally.
More here from Lacrosse Bucket.
4. Michigan is adding to its men’s lacrosse staff.
Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders reports that Scott Bieda will join the Wolverines as the team’s offensive coordinator.
Former @LafayetteMLAX assistant Scott Bieda is set to become @UMichLacrosse’s offensive coordinator, sources tell @Inside_Lacrosse. Bieda spent the last six seasons with the Leopards after wrapping up a storied playing career at Rutgers.
