Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Women’s European Lacrosse Championship is underway in Netanya, Israel and 16 of the games will be streamed live on the Olympic Channel’s digital platform. Former Jacksonville player MacEllen McDonough had six goals to lead host Israel past Germany 13-2 in the event’s opener.

2. Denver will be the host city for Major League Lacrosse’s Championship Weekend. The semifinals will be played at the University of Denver on Oct. 4 and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park the site for the final on Oct. 6.

3. Canada, undefeated all-time in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship play, has announced its final roster for the 2019 event in Langley, British Columbia.

4. A final look at the 2019 high school lacrosse season, including our recognition of Brennan O’Neill and Jackie Wolak as the national players of the year.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• A lot of big news on the assistant coaching front in Division I men’s lacrosse. Former Cleveland State head coach Dylan Sheridan’s move to Ohio State becomes official. Ryan Wellner moves from Navy to Notre Dame and College Crosse is reporting that Bryn Athyn head coach Tucker Durkin will become an assistant at Drexel.

• Kylie McMinn will be the inaugural women’s lacrosse head coach for Corban University, the first NAIA program in the state of Oregon.

• John Ranagan, selected by the New York Riptide in the NLL’s expansion draft, was named the 2019 NLL Teammate of the Year.

• Buffalo’s Steve Dietrich was named the NLL’s General Manager of the Year. It was the second time he’s received the honor.

• Former Syracuse player Julie Cross has joined the staff at Cabrini for both field hockey and women’s lacrosse.
