Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:
1. It’s going to be USA vs. Canada for the gold medal.
With a world lacrosse championship on the line, it’s no surprise that it’ll be Canada and the United States battling for gold. Canada and the USA are each 4-0 in the inaugural men's Sixes competition at The World Games and meet at 8:30 p.m. (Central time) for the title with live streaming available.
The U.S. reached the final with a hard-fought 17-12 victory over Japan in the semifinals. Justin Guterding found his shooting touch and after giving up seven first-quarter goals, the U.S. defense settled down.

2. The U.S. women begin their quest for gold today.
The U.S. women’s Sixes squad makes its World Games debut on Tuesday, playing Australia at 3:30 p.m. (Central time) with live streaming available as well.
The U.S. squad includes four players who have already won gold medals — Kasey Choma, Madison Doucette, Belle Smith and Caitlyn Wurzburger helped lead the U.S. to the 2019 World Lacrosse U19 women’s championship.
3.A memorable display of sportsmanship
The Haudenosaunee men finished fifth at The World Games, but their presence meant much more.
4.The next generation shines today.
A record 90 teams are set to begin play at the USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals at DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, Del., today. Recent USA women's senior team gold medalists Sam Apuzzo and Alice Mercer won championships at the this event in 2013 and 2009, respectively.
