Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Nike/US Lacrosse Division I men’s preseason Top 20 rankings were released Monday. Duke leads the men, followed by Maryland, Denver, Albany and Yale.

2. Reigning national champion Maryland is the frontrunner in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I women’s preseason Top 20, with Stony Brook, North Carolina, Penn State and Syracuse rounding out the top five.

3. The Saskatchewan Rush made a statement in Georgia, aiming to reclaim the Champion’s Cup after a decisive 13-9 win over the Swarm.

“It’s a big psychological win for us,” general manager and coach Derek Keenan said. “We lost the cup final to them last year, didn’t win a game in their building last year, so this was very important.”

Also on the rise is the Toronto Rock, defeating Vancouver 24-7. The Rock eclipsed an NLL record for most goals in a half with a 17-1 halftime score.
