Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Veteran Roy Colsey, at age 44, is back in the box playing for the U.S. men’s indoor team, helping Team White to a 13-12 win Saturday.

The 2012 National Lacrosse Hall of Famer and former Syracuse midfielder aims to help the U.S. raise its game.

“I want to see the U.S. teams do well,” Colsey said. “I want to see us pick it up. I’ve been spending a lot of time coaching and teaching box lacrosse. This turned out to be a great opportunity to get out with the young guys and try to help them figure this out a little bit.”

2. Navy is not satisfied with only one Cinderella run to the final four.

“They’re hungrier,” said coach Cindy Timchal, whose team returns four 50-goal scorers. “I don’t think it’s a surprise. Coming up short isn’t what we aspire to. All teams know that you need to be hungry and compete, and you need to really show that when you step out on the field.”

The Midshipmen, led by Kelly Larkin and Jenna Collins, return all but two starters and have the confidence and belief for a repeat run.

3. North Carolina is searching for a new identity after losing 10 players to graduation.

“We lost probably the deepest [senior] class we’ve had in quite some time,” said coach Joe Breschi after graduating faceoff man Stephen Kelly, attackman Luke Goldstock and defenseman Austin Pifani. “We’ve got so many guys in new leadership spots. We’re anxious to see what we’re going to be.”

Senior attacker Chris Cloutier could take the reins.

4. The Buffalo Bandits could be in contention for the Champion’s Cup after defeating undefeated Saskatchewan.

“You’ve got to make the playoffs and then anything can happen,” captain Steve Priolo said.

5. The Warrior/US Lacrosse Preseason Players of the Year in MCLA Division I and II are Chapman’s Dylan garner and North Dakota State’s Evan Schraut, respectively.

6. The U.S. women’s national team shows off its championship rings after receiving them Friday night in Baltimore.
