Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. MLL Commissioner Alexander “Sandy” Brown spoke exclusively to US Lacrosse Magazine about the state of the league as it moves to a single-entity organization. He also touched on the possibility that multiple teams could be on the move.

2. The New York Riptide just made a splash.

Fresh off their first win in franchise history, the Riptide announced a practice player deal with former Duke and current Chaos LC star Myles Jones. He’ll return to Long Island, where he starred at Walt Whitman High School.

3. Tierney Field at US Lacrosse headquarters will host a number of college and high school lacrosse games this spring. US Lacrosse announced the full slate of games for this season, which includes Robert Morris vs. Jacksonville men and JMU vs. UConn women in action.​

4. USC rode its defense to a 16-4 record in 2019, but coach Lindsey Munday is looking for her offense to help carry the load. With a majority of goals scored returning, the Trojans will be a well-rounded team coming out of the West.

USC sits at No. 10 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Top 20.

5. Penn men’s lacrosse has made plenty of strides in the Ivy League and beyond over the past few seasons. But the Quakers lost more than a few seniors from the team that pushed Yale to the brink in the NCAA quarterfinals.

Coach Mike Murphy will now rely on the new senior class, and sophomore phenom Sam Handley, to carry the load. Penn checks in at No. 10 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Division I Men’s Top 20.
