Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Another milestone for the sport as World Lacrosse announced that the 2023 men's world championship will be held in San Diego. It's the fourth time the event will be held in the United States, but the first time it will be held in the Pacific time zone.

2. Defense figures to lead the way for the Denver women’s lacrosse team this season with three defenders among the team’s four captains. The Pioneers are No. 15 in the Nike / USA Lacrosse preseason rankings.

3. Johns Hopkins finished strong in Pete Milliman’s first season as the head men’s lacrosse coach at the school. The Blue Jays appear poised to carry that momentum forward as they have a more normal return to season preparation.

4. The Buffalo Bandits top the National Lacrosse League power rankings in Jack Goods’ latest weekly notebook.

5. Voting is now open for the International World Games Association Athlete of the Year with Taylor Cummings representing lacrosse.
