1. Syracuse became the second top-five team in the Nike/US Lacrosse women’s preseason rankings to suffer an upset in a span of just three days as Stony Brook edged the Orange 17-16 on Monday night.
Stony Brook stars Taryn Ohilmiller (6g, 2a) and Ally Kennedy (3g, 4a) had big nights and freshman Kailyn Hart punctuated the win with this behind-the-back shot that was the No. 4 play on ESPN’s Sports Center.

2. In the only Division I men’s game on Monday, No. 14 Army continued its dominant defensive play to start 2020. For the second straight game, Army pitched a first-half shutout, this time beating NJIT 19-1 on Monday.

4. The changes keep coming in Major League Lacrosse as the league announced on Monday afternoon that the league would not operate the Dallas franchise in 2020.
