Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:

1. Vote for the Best Moment in #BestOfLax2022.

You’ve probably heard of the 12 days of Christmas, but we’ll do you one better than a partridge in a pear tree. We’re kicking off 15 weekdays of lacrosse in December. From now through the holidays, you get to exercise your fundamental right to vote for the best moments, players and more from what has been a monumental year for the game. You have a few hours left to vote for the best moment. Read the stories behind the nominees here.

2. Your Holiday wishlist has arrived.

We made a list and checked it twice. Consider this your guide to the best gear, tech and training to gift the lacrosse player in your life — or yourself.

3. U.S. Men’s national team ready to fly south.

The U.S. men’s national team is on its way to Florida this weekend for a training camp being held in conjunction with the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMCLA) Winter Summit. It marks the last evaluation period for U.S. men’s team head coach John Danowski and his staff before selecting the 23 men who will don the red, white and blue at the World Lacrosse Men’s Championship next summer in San Diego. WHAT WE’RE READING

  • San Diego is still No. 1 after putting off a comeback attempt from the New York Riptide, but upsets pushed Toronto and Halifax up Jack Goods’ NLL power rankings.

  • Premiere Lacrosse League began counting down the top 50 players of 2022.

  • Duke sophomore Reed Landen gets personal in an essay for Uncut.

  • Julia Dorsey, a defender on both the UNC women’s lacrosse and soccer teams, played in her second national title game of 2022 last night. Dorsey, who won an NCAA championship in lacrosse in the spring and scored the eventual game-winner for the soccer team in a semifinal win over Florida State on Friday, registered one shot on goal against UCLA. But the ‘Heels fell short in overtime, 3-2.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

The soccer match may not have gone Julia Dorsey’s way, but it’s safe to say she has plenty of fans waiting for her back in Chapel Hill.

WHAT’S ON TAP

Best of Lax continues with voting for the Best Comeback.
