Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. As 2020 comes to a close and the 2021 season inches closer — we hope, anyway — we began dishing out some preseason praise.

On Monday, we dropped Division I men’s and women’s preseason All-Americans — lists of 13 players who are the best of the best in Division I lacrosse. Check out those All-Americans at the links below.

MEN | WOMEN

We also recognized the Division I preseason positional players of the year for both the men and women, highlighting the top players at each position.

On the men’s side, the obvious picks were Michael Sowers for Preseason Attackman of the Year and J.T. Giles-Harris for Preseason Defenseman of the Year. But who got the nod for Preseason Middie?

On the women’s side, North Carolina got the nod in two of the four awards.

Check out the full list of winners below.

We’ll be revealing the overall Division I Men’s and Women’s Preseason Players of the Year on Monday.

2. The Haudenosaunee women are in.

Official invitations have been extended by World Lacrosse to the eight teams that have been selected to compete in women’s lacrosse at The World Games 2022 in Alabama. The Haudenosaunee women join the group of Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Israel, Japan and the United States.
