Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1A Syracuse legend has died.

John “Z” Zulberti, a two-time national champion and four-time All-American, died Sunday at 54. A report from Syracuse.com stated that Zulberti drowned.

Zulberti and his signature orange Chuck Taylor’s provided flair in every game. He scored a point every game of his college career, a 60-game stretch that still stands as a Syracuse record.

He was also instrumental in the booming growth of lacrosse in Atlanta because of his role with the Thunder club program.

2. Clemson has its first head coach.

The Tigers tabbed Allison Kwolek to be their first women’s lacrosse coach, the university announced Monday morning. Since 2013, Kwolek was busy rebuilding Richmond into a national contender, cracking the top 10 in each of the last two seasons.

More on the hire here.

3. Another week, another Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse draft.

Sam Apuzzo was the No. 1 pick in the second week in a row, going to Team Ohlmiller this time around. Kylie Ohlmiller’s offense will feature herself, Apuzzo, Kayla Treanor and Nicole Levy — a dream combination if there ever was one.

4. Brooke Shriver has been named Navy’s associate head coach.

Shriver, a former Northwestern midfielder (2008-11), has made coaching stops at Mount St. Mary’s and Penn State. She most recently served as an assistant athletic director at the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore.

She was also an assistant on the U.S. women’s U19 team that won a gold medal in 2019.
