1. Jessica Berman was named the NLL's deputy commissioner on Monday, making her the first woman to hold the title of deputy commissioner in any North American professional sports league. Berman will oversee the league’s legal affairs and transactions and manage team services among other duties.

Berman joins the NLL after 13 seasons in the NHL, where she served as Vice President, Community Development, Culture & Growth.

2. The PLL playoffs are set after a thrilling weekend in Albany. All three teams fighting for playoff spots won, but Atlas was the odd team out.
