Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse season has reached the home stretch. Week 4 concluded Monday with victories for Arsenault (13-8 over Wood) and Cummings (10-6 over Glynn) in Boyds, Md.

Midfielder Taylor Cummings enters the final week atop the leaderboard with 1,507 points. Goalies Caylee Waters (1,422) and Kady Glynn (1,357) are next, followed by Kylie Ohlmiller (1,292). They were the four captains for Monday’s draft, with Ohlmiller tabbing former Stony Brook teammate Ally Kennedy with the top overall selection.

2. It’s playoff season in the Premier Lacrosse League. The Waterdogs clinched the top seed over the weekend in Albany and will get a bye to next week’s semifinals. The Cannons grabbed

the last playoff spot, setting up these quarterfinals in Utah this weekend (all times Eastern):

• No. 3 Archers vs. No. 6 Chaos, Friday, 8:30 p.m. (NBCSN)

• No. 2 Atlas vs. No. 7 Cannons, Saturday, 2:30 p.m. (NBC)

• No. 5  Whipsnakes vs. No. 4 Redwoods, Saturday, 6 p.m. (NBCSN)

3. Limestone has turned to an alum to succeed J.B. Clarke as head coach. Brendan Storrier, a former All-American standout with the Saints and a two-time national assistant coach of the year who helped the program win three NCAA championships, will take over the Division II men’s lacrosse juggernaut, the school announced Monday. Storrier was an assistant coach at Limestone for eight years before leaving to become the head coach at Mars Hill after the 2018 season. He’s back in Gaffney now to replace Clarke, who left for Tampa earlier this summer.

4. The San Diego Seals signed the NLL’s most sought-after free agent. The Seals announced Monday that they came to terms with 2018-19 NLL MVP Dane Dobbie. The lefty forward had spent the entirety of his 13-year career with the Calgary Roughnecks, who drafted him in 2007. Dobbie is the Roughnecks’ all-time leading scorer and led the team to NLL championships in 2009 and 2019. He was also the 2019 NLL Finals MVP.

“It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made,” Dobbie tweeted about leaving Calgary.

Seals general manager and head coach Patrick Merrill called Dobbie “one of the best offensive players of his generation” and said the 34-year-old was swayed to San Diego in part to reunite with Seals offensive coordinator Josh Sanderson, with whom he won a title in Calgary in 2009.

• High school lacrosse powerhouse West Genesee (N.Y.) has hired a pair of alums in Eric Burns and Shannon Musak in hopes that they’ll return the Wildcats’ boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams, respectively, to prominence.

Atlas rookie sensation Jeff Teat found himself on “SportsCenter” on Monday. His handle in tight and over-the-shoulder rip netted the No. 4 spot in the SC Top 10 segment.
