1. As we honor those in the lacrosse community lost on 9/11, we share two more stories of impact from former college lacrosse stars.

The term “Staciness” has become a popular phrase used among high schoolers in the Nyack (N.Y.) community. Stacey Sennas McGowan made an impact through her joy for helping others and her passion for lacrosse.

McGowan, a Wall Street woman, lost her life in the 9/11 attacks, but the Nyack community will never forget.

Eamon McEneaney made his mark as an incredibly hard-working underclassman playing for a legend in Richie Moran at Cornell. The brash and talented Big Red great left Ithaca and headed to New York City, where he worked in the World Trade Center.

Friends and former teammates remembered the stories that made McEneaney a legend, from his contributions on Championship Weekend, to his heroic attacks during the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.

2. Derrel Martin is well-versed in crisis management.

The Lee University women’s lacrosse coach is an FBI and U.S. Army veteran, serving in the violent crime and terrorism division for decades. Martin writes in the IWLCA blog “Behind the Whistle” about the heroism of many who stepped up in the face of a crisis.

3. The Calgary Roughnecks have a new look.

The Roughnecks revealed a rebrand on Wednesday, shifting to a black-and-white color scheme. Here are some shots of the jerseys.
